Full description
I am a fully qualified Blue Badge Guide who can offer you 8 years of professional expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm. My family tours are designed to be interactive, fun and engaging and can be tailored to your needs.
We’ll explore this magnificent building from top to bottom, following my specially- developed trail of interesting puzzles and clues, which answer questions such as: how the Cathedral got its name; why it’s called a Cathedral, not a church; who built it, when and how long did it take and what part has it played in London’s history over the years?
Our journey will take us from the magnificent galleries of the Dome down to the largest crypt in Europe; on the way I’ll introduce you to the workmen who made the beautiful mosaics and carved stonework, rich stained glass, and intricate ironwork.
I’ll also share stories of some of the famous heroes and other great figures who are commemorated in the Cathedral.
